Part 1 – Inspiration

Founder and CEO Matthew Apple – a proud native of Rochester, NY – was inspired to found Walking For Rochester in 2020, in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic. Fueled by a passion for positive change Matt says, “Litter is an opportunity for us to come together over something that affects us all. [Litter] is a global problem and requires our constant attention and upkeep. Therefore, our goal is to make Rochester, NY the first litter-free city in the world.”
