Cleanups on the Water

Our first season of Cleanups on the Water made a powerful impact. Volunteers came together to tackle litter along Rochester’s waterways, removing debris that pollutes the river and harms local wildlife.

This year we hosted 2 water cleanups with a total of 65 attendees who collected 508 pounds of litter from the river and shoreline. What began as a new program quickly showed how much our community cares about protecting the natural spaces that define our city.
