community litter cleanup, Walking for Rochester, Rochester NY

Introducing Cleanups on the Water!

For five years, Walking For Rochester has led the charge against litter in our city. Now, we’re taking that mission directly to our waterways with the launch of our fifth official program.

Cleanups on the Water is a new volunteer initiative expanding our proven litter removal efforts from city streets to Rochester’s waterways and shorelines—by boat or on foot.

All cleanup equipment is provided.
We are seeking experienced paddlers who are ready to help protect and preserve our waterways.

Note: A 2025 seasonal waiver is required to participate in any event.
