Community Cleanup Program (Full schedule on homepage here)
Our Community Cleanups bring neighbors together to take pride in their streets, parks, and neighborhoods. Each event is a simple act of care that helps build a cleaner and more connected Rochester.
As we move into the offseason, we will still host a few cleanups, but not as many as during the regular season. The 2026 season will begin in April. Check the homepage for upcoming events and schedules.
Thank you to everyone who continues to show up, lend a hand, and help make Rochester a place we can all be proud of.
Walking For Rochester – Volunteer Cleanup Overview
WFR cleanup events typically last about one hour. Volunteers are expected to arrive a few minutes early for a brief overview and supply pickup. We provide gloves, bags, buckets and litter grabbers at every event—no need to bring your own unless preferred.
Every volunteer must complete our one-time seasonal waiver form, which can be filled out online at (Click link here) or in person at the event. Individuals under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
We post all upcoming cleanups on Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and LinkedIn. You may also subscribe to our bi-weekly newsletter on the homepage of our website to stay up to date.
Events are canceled in the case of moderate to severe rain, lightning, or any official weather alert. For cancellations, please refer to our social media platforms. We aim to announce all cancellations at least 2 hours in advance.
For questions or group participation, call or text our office at 585-358-6888, or email us at info@walkingforrochester.org.
