Job Title: GIS Team Member for GIS dashboard development

Job Overview:
Walking For Rochester is assembling a self-driven team of students passionate about nonprofit, local-scale environmental work and GIS. The goal of this project is to create a GIS Dashboard. This is a fully remote, unpaid opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience while contributing to a meaningful project.

Potential Responsibilities:

• Analyze and interpret census and microscale data to identify key areas for cleanup efforts.
• Use GIS tools (ArcGIS Online, QGIS, or Python) to design and develop a functional GIS Dashboard.
• Collaborate with team members to establish workflows and refine the final product.
• Provide data-backed insights to support transparency and community engagement efforts.

This position offers the chance to shape a significant project, gain experience in GIS and dashboard development, and make a positive impact on local communities.
