WHAT. A. SEASON. 2026
Walking For Rochester has officially wrapped up our 2026 cleanup season, and this was our biggest year yet. Together, we completed 153 cleanups across Rochester, welcomed 1,126 attendees, and removed an incredible 12,522.3 pounds of litter from our city streets.
As we continue to grow year after year, we are also building the tools that will take this mission even further. With the launch of the Walking For Rochester app this year and our GIS dashboard set to be completed before next season, we are entering a new era of how we understand and fight litter in Rochester. Our Litter Elimination Syste includes knowing where litter is, where it keeps coming back, and where our resources can make the greatest impact. We hope litter free Rochester, NY is starting to become a little more beleiveable for the doubters out there!
